I thought this scene was cute and hilarious and I liked this moment between Damon and Bonnie.  No one ever is on Team Bonnie - so it must have been nice to have someone believe in you - especially when in it came to the conversation between her and her dead beat mom.  Another reason why I love Damon Salvatore.
